Policy Issues

  • Public Safety

Johns Creek is one of the safest cities in Georgia, and I will work hard to keep it that way. I am a strong supporter of our police and fire departments and will ensure they have the resources, training, and staff they need to keep our community safe.

I will fight for fair pay and benefits to make sure we retain our experienced first responders. I will also push for additional training to help them deal with rising challenges.

Building a stronger connection between first responders and our community is just as important. I support public safety outreaches that encourage trust and communication between officers and residents. I will also make sure we are prepared for emergencies by investing in the right tools, technology, and plans to respond quickly when needed.

Public safety is the foundation of a thriving community, and I will always make it a top priority for Johns Creek to remain a safe, welcoming place to live, work, and raise a family.

  • Keeping Taxes Low & Fiscal Responsibility

Families and businesses in Johns Creek deserve a city government that spends money wisely. I will work to make sure every dollar goes toward what truly benefits our community. My goal is to keep our taxes among the lowest in Fulton County while still providing the services that make Johns Creek the “Exception.”.

I believe in responsible financial management and finding smarter ways to fund our city’s growth. Raising taxes should be a last resort. Instead, I will focus on securing state and federal grants, partnering with businesses, and exploring new funding opportunities. This will help keep costs down for residents while ensuring Johns Creek continues to grow and improve.

  • Supporting Local Businesses & Economic Growth

A strong local economy is key to keeping Johns Creek thriving. I will focus on filling business vacancies and cut unnecessary red tape to attract new businesses. When local businesses succeed, our entire community benefits—creating jobs, strengthening our economy, and reducing the tax burden on residents.

As surrounding cities grow and innovate, Johns Creek must take bold steps to stay competitive. We should be a place where people not only live but also work and play. If our residents have to leave town to shop, dine, and do business, we’re missing opportunities to strengthen our own economy. By fostering innovation and supporting local businesses, we can build a Johns Creek that remains strong for generations to come.

  • Transparency & Integrity – People Over Politics

To encourage a more transparent and accountable city government, I will keep decisions open to the public, improve communication between city leaders and residents, and ensure that every resident has a clear and accessible way to voice their opinions and be part of the decision-making process. I lead with integrity, always putting the community’s needs first and avoiding politics. My goal is to make government more accessible, responsive, and trustworthy for everyone.

My experience on the Johns Creek Board of Zoning Appeals and the Student Governance Council at Ocee Elementary has shown me the importance of fairness and clear communication. As a Realtor, I follow the National Association of Realtor’s strict Code of Ethics, always putting my clients’ best interests first. That same commitment to integrity, transparency, and doing what is right is exactly how I will serve as a councilman—making fair, accountable decisions that put our community first.

To guide my decisions, I’ve created a Decisions Rubric—a tool that helps me stay focused on key factors like community impact, public safety, financial responsibility, and sustainability. This ensures I remain accountable and make decisions based on what is truly best for the people of Johns Creek. I am here to serve the residents, and I will always approach my role with an independent mindset, voting with the community's well-being in mind.

  • Resident Connection

Johns Creek can only thrive when its residents feel engaged and connected to the decisions that shape their city. I will prioritize improving communication between the city and its residents, making sure everyone has a voice in how our community grows and develops.

Right now, it’s clear that we’re not reaching everyone, especially the younger generation. That’s why I’ll work to introduce new, more effective ways to engage with people. We need to go where the residents are, whether that’s through social media, town hall meetings, community events, or even targeted outreach programs.

By using a variety of communication channels, we can ensure that we’re hearing from as many people as possible and making it easier for residents to get involved. It’s not just about providing information—it’s about listening to residents, understanding their concerns, and working together to make our city better. Stronger engagement will ensure that every voice is heard, from the youngest residents to the most seasoned members of the community.
